Honoring Alaska’s Fallen Firefighters

Remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

About us

The Alaska Fallen Firefighter Memorial stands in the heart of downtown Anchorage, at the corner of 5th Avenue and A Street, right beside Anchorage Fire Department Station

This meaningful memorial honors fire department emergency responders from across Alaska who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Our memorial is more than a place—it’s a tribute to courage, dedication, and the enduring spirit of Alaska’s firefighting community. Managed by a dedicated committee representing the Alaska State Firefighters Association, the Alaska Fire Chiefs Association, the Anchorage Fire Department, and the Alaska State Fire Marshal’s Office, we work together to ensure that the legacy of our fallen heroes is never forgotten.

Every year, we gather to remember, reflect, and support the families and colleagues of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Through ongoing fundraising and community events, the Alaska Fallen Firefighter Association is committed to honoring their memory and supporting those who continue to serve.
